I want to share something a little more personal and vulnerable with you.
When I started Leah In Wanderlust, I truly believed I’d be able to cover the costs of running the website through affiliate links and e-books.
That was the plan. I had ideas, projects, and a whole roadmap in my head.
Then life took a very unexpected turn.
When I came back from walking the length of the UK, something happened that I genuinely never thought would happen.
I got pregnant.
It was a tough pregnancy, and now my baby girl is here and she has a heart defect.
She’s my whole world, but this year has come with a lot of things I couldn’t have planned for.
Between hospital visits, car parking fees, and far too many meals living off hospital food, the costs have quietly stacked up, all while I’m on maternity leave.
Running a website unfortunately does have costs with things such as website renewal, and rather than quietly letting it disappear, I wanted to be honest and ask for a little help.
Just like Wikipedia occasionally asks for donations to stay online, I’m doing the same.
If 400 of you bought me just one coffee, it would cover the cost of keeping Leah In Wanderlust online for another year.
Since I’ve started blogging again, I’ve already had messages from people planning their own journeys across the UK and from others who’ve been inspired to get out walking.
That means more to me than I can properly put into words. I’d really love to keep doing that.
